Wishful Thinking is a quest in Divinity: Original Sin II. It is initiated by interacting with the ancient lamp in Reaper's Bluff during Act Two.

Objectives

Investigate the lamp.
  • We came across a strange and ancient lamp.
Take on the Djinn.
  • If attacking the lamp or failing persuasion: An enraged Djinn broke free from the lamp and attacked on sight.
Sell the necklace for gold.
  • If wishing for wealth: We wished for riches, and the Djinn gave us a strangely disconcerting necklace.
Quest complete.
  • If wishing for power: We wished for power. The Djinn struck us with lightning.
  • If wishing for knowledge: We wished for knowledge, and were rewarded with a book of children's tales.
  • If wishing to wipe enemies from sight: We wished for our enemies to be purged from our sight, and the Djinn made us Blind.
  • The Djinn is free, and left us its lamp.
  • If killing the Djinn: The Djinn is dead.
