Saying a special phrase will make the spores grow and spew poison. We found a manifest listing prisoners aboard a shipwreck, including a Scion who held strange spores.

Investigate the elf and her captive.
We've acquired the Boots of Contamination. We've acquired the Greaves of Contamination.

Find the remaining spores.

The Scion told us she is trying to create a set of armour from poisonous spores. We found a report of experiments being performed on spores in the Blackpits. Magister Cecil told us the spore was taken to the Magister barracks in Arx. The Magisters attacked us. We killed the Magisters. We read Magister Carruthers' orders. She was tasked with transporting a spore to the Blackpits. We met the Scion again in Reaper's Coast. The Scion tried to kill the Magister captive with the spore, but it didn't go as planned. We were attacked. We killed the Scion. We've retrieved the sprouted gloves. We learned from the elf's flesh memory that she was trying to grow a set of armour from poisonous spores. We killed the Magisters and acquired the Cuirass of Contamination. We found a letter noting the location of a hidden Magister Laboratory in Arx.
