Most Dangerous When Cornered is a quest in Act One of Divinity: Original Sin II. It can be initiated by talking to
Han and
Samadel in Amadia's Sanctuary or entering the Ruined Castle. The sequence and content of each quest varies based on party choices.
Note: Completing this quest before
Healing Touch causes Klaud, Jules, and Matis to die, closing the quest permanently.

Walkthrough
The first encounter upon entering the Ruined Castle are four Magisters in the courtyard. Defeating each in combat results in 1200 xp, totalling 4800. Northbound is a room with another four Magisters surrounding
Gareth who is hiding behind the 'Hollow Marshes - Ruined Castle' waypoint at X: 468 Y: 371 . Defeating these four give a total of 5300 xp, and an additional 3000 xp after combat for successfully rescuing Gareth.
Tutorial
- Enter Ruined Castle at X: 468 Y: 208
- Kill 4 Magisters (+4800 xp)
- Go north up the stairs and kill 4 more Magisters (+5300 xp)
- Talk to Gareth (+3000 xp)
