Retrieve the Magic Axe Called Slasher is a Divine Divinity quest in Aleroth.

Objectives

Retrieve the magic axe called Slasher.
  • Some bold orcs are looking for a magical axe called Slasher. Smiruk, the leader, told me that the weapon lies somewhere in the catacombs beneath Aleroth.

Walkthrough

On the first floor of Aleroth Catacombs, Template:Icon and a group of orcs demand the player character to retrieve an axe called Slasher. If refusing, the orcs attack. Otherwise, Slasher can be found on the second floor of the Catacombs. If returning to Smiruk, the player character can offer Slasher or another axe. Regardless of the axe given to him, Smiruk uses the weapon to attack one of his companions. Smiruk either accepts the genuine Slasher or is angered at receiving a fake axe. In the latter case, he keeps the fake axe and demands for the legitimate Slasher.

If offering a second fake axe to Smiruk, he keeps the axe and becomes hostile, along with his orc companions.

Bugs

  • When offering an axe to Smiruk, there is a potential bug that causes Smiruk to approach a nearby orc but not attack.[1]
