To retrieve Marty, the player character must enter the Dark Cave north of the market. Several bats flock around outside and within the cave. Inside, a {{Icon DD|Vampire (DD)|vampire}} holds Marty captive, demanding blood from either the child or player character.
If threatening the vampire, Marty is killed and the quest fails. If offering their own blood, the vampire feeds on the player character, lowering their health to 1. This quest is completed by speaking with Caroline again in Rivertown Market.
