Lady o' War is a quest in Divinity: Original Sin II. It is part of the chronicle I, the Godwoken.

Objectives

Quest content may vary based on party choices.

Speak with Malady.
Speak with Malady once more.
  • Malady should know what to do next.
Find out how to control the ship.
  • Made of elven livewood, the Lady Vengeance is conscious but unable to sail. The means to control the ship must be somewhere on board.
  • The password for the master cabin is 'Fortitude'.
  • Dallis used a living scar to steer the Lady Vengeance - perhaps we can too.
  • We spoke with a rat who recalls that Dallis controlled the ship by singing from a strange song book.
  • Belowdecks we found Dallis' stateroom. To enter, we must get past the two doors that bar the way.
  • Ranley, a Magister survivor locked in the brig, told us that Dallis sang to the ship when it was under her command. We should search her room for the song.
  • The comatose Alexandar had a rather peculiar gem on him. It might come in handy...
Search Dallis' cabin.
  • Now that we're in, we should search Dallis' stateroom thoroughly.
Take control of the Lady Vengeance.
  • We found a song book in Dallis' stateroom.
Talk to Malady.
  • We released the ship from its bonds. In gratitude, it will take us wherever we need to go.
Protect Malady.
  • Dallis and her Magisters attacked. Malady can save us, but we must buy her time.
Quest complete.

Walkthrough

Upon boarding the Lady Vengeance, speak with Malady. She explains that the ship is made of livewood and remains dormant, unmoving. Walking toward the head of the ship at   X: 541  Y: 538   triggers a dialogue with Maeve, who warns the party to avoid interacting with it. If a party member ignores the warning and keeps their hand on the ship head, the entire party is set ablaze.

The deceased Magister at   X: 564  Y: 531   possesses a Sodden Diary, which reveals the passcode 'Fortitude'. With this information, travel to the lower deck of the ship where Bishop Alexandar and Magister Ranley are imprisoned. Ask the guard Constance to unlock the gate. Enter the cell and persuade Ranley for permission to search Alexandar. Otherwise, killing her grants 2,250 XP.

Retrieve the Strange Gem from Alexandar. Head toward the door next to Han at   X: 324  Y: 489  . After interacting with the door and providing the passcode 'Fortitude', the party gain access to the room and 3,600 XP. TBC
