Involvement
Aleroth
Joram grew up in his father's inn but moved to Aleroth later in his life. Three days before the player character's arrival, Joram was foraging for herbs west of town when a white cat led him to the player character's body. Joram brought them to his house as they slowly recovered in his cellar.

During the first interaction with Joram, he tells the player character that 
Mardaneus has "gone as crazy as a loon".
