The ghost is a spiritual manifestation of a long-past soul that has not been able to fully pass on because of one or more tethering links that restrain it to the world of the living. Because of their forced stay in the mortal realm, ghosts are hateful toward anything that still lives, with a few exception (see Toral). These beings are supposed to have gone to the Hall of Echoes but were held back. These are not to be confused with undead raised by necromancers, such as a creature.
