Blake grew up with little food and shelter. By the time he turned ten, his entire family died of disease and starvation. At twelve, a blacksmith took him in as an apprentice. Blake eventually made enough money to purchase a shop in Rivertown Market. He donates one third of customer purchases.
Blake's enslaved ancestor stole a key while toiling to create Nericon's Garden. If the player character grows a sufficient reputation, Blake offers them the key. Otherwise, Blake marks the garden on a map and states that he would only sell the key to a person with a good reputation.
