Divinity: Original Sin is a video game developed by Larian Studios. It is the prequel to Divinity: Original Sin II.
The Divinity: Original Sin kickstarter launched on March 27, 2013. Within one month, contributions from kickstarter and other fundraisers reached over 1 million USD, funding the project and all its stretch goals. In 2015, Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition was released, offering reworked narratives and significant new content. This wiki covers content from the enhanced edition.
Classic and enhanced editions
The classic edition of Divinity: Original Sin was the game's first release. The enhanced edition can be considered a separate game, not an update to the classic edition. The enhanced edition includes major changes such as:
- Rewritten narrative with a new ending
- Full voice acting
- New quests, characters, visual effects, cutscenes, animations, regions, and more
- New gameplay modes and character builds
- Overhauled skill system
- Rebalanced economy
- Numerous quality of life improvements
The detailed changelog is on
Larian Forums. The full changelog contains spoilers.
If purchasing Divinity: Original Sin on Steam, the classic edition is automatically bundled with the enhanced edition at no additional cost.
